Nurturing the Nutbar!

So one post was not enough and i tend to write when I have an outlet.

What am I referring to when saying "nurturing the nutbar."

I refer to all of us that are off, the ones that shout, the ones that whisper. We the artists, the writers, the photographers, the illustrators, the painters, even the doodlers. Anyone person that has something that they should share. This of course is everyone!

All of us have something that is not of the "norm." Few of us embrace it, nurture it and develop it to be shared the others. Why? I believe that our society and it's views of life are the main culprit. We have this predetermined view of what is allowed and what is frivolity. I lived with it for years, pushing myself to the brink of destruction because that was expected of me. Now I happily struggle to become what I want to be.

Very few people in this world become what they wanted to be when they were kids. In truth I always wanted to be a writer and a teacher, but I veered off course. Realistically i will not become the teacher, but I will put everything into my writing. I am happier (but much more poor..lol) than I have ever been.

I call to each of you that reads this. Continue to nurture the nutbar, be what you want to be, not what you are supposed to be. If you can not dive in, then at least get your feet wet. I would rather you be a weekend nutbar than not.

So this is a blog....

Well I decided to get my own Blog. So many have one and why should I not have a place to chat to those who care or don't care.

Yes I am a writer, yes I have been published, no I am not wealthy. For all those would be writers out there...writing is a full time job and the pay is well below minimum wage.

I am a divorced father of 3, and have many opinions on it...I will not go on right now, but you may hear me rant from time to time.

For now I will say, hello and welcome to my little bit of the net...I hope you stay for the ride.
